"Shook Up"An intimate look at the trying life of an 'Elvis Impersonator' with motivations far from the usual. Having rewatched the film now, perhaps more times than is strictly necessary, it has begun to take on an odd poignancy: 'If I can like taste, even a fraction of what he had, I figure it'll be better than anything I leave behind here.' Engaging stuff from some keen student film makers.

"The Cyclops of Logies Lane" by Kathleen Schneider"A ridiculous dramatization of an equally ridiculous actual incident which took place in the Scottish town of Saint Andrews in the year 2001." Based on anecdotal evidence the local film makers put together an impressively technical piece that functions well in the mode of variations on a theme. A haunting soundtrack and intriguing voice overs add to the overall haunting mood of this wonderful short film.

"Lone Dancer" by Jordan BellamyOne should never be alone on the dancefloor...this film has so many great elements to it - the originality of it, the comedy, the characters and the camerawork. Beautifully shot and exciting to watch from start to finish, it's not difficult to see why the audience voted for this film! Congratulations again Jordan!

"Bird Watching" by Dani Glazzard, Charlotte Walsh and Cat HamiltonEvery wondered what birds are actually thinking? This fantastic comedy was very well thought-out, and comes together to create a great balance between the shots and the dialogue. If only it were longer! Congratulations to Dani, Charlotte and Cat for producing an all-round great film!

"Comfortable Creatures in St Andrews" by Laura ThompsonA film about very different opinions of St Andrews and the 600th Anniversary. The time, effort and energy that was spent on this project really comes through, and it also raises awareness of the possibilities of what can be done in 60 hours; a truly inspiring project. Well done Laura, a fantastic film and a great achievement!

"An Inspector Falls" by Layla GilhoolyWe at the Blitz do not agree with or condone the views expressed in this video concerning the police force of St Andrews. We regard their zeal as their highest quality and certainly not a point for ridicule... unless the ridicule is as well executed as this short film.
